With the new Koralmbahn, our region is closer than ever. Many routes that once took a long time are now just relaxed minutes by train. And even by car, the journey remains easy — well connected, yet far enough away to truly switch off.

Whether you prefer the relaxed comfort of travelling by train or the flexibility of your own car: our apartments in Southern Carinthia are easy to reach from every direction. Arriving should feel effortless — and that’s exactly how your stay with us begins.

By train — a relaxed way to the south

The new Koralmbahn has brought Southern Carinthia closer than ever. Many routes that once took a long time are now a pleasant, quiet train ride. You travel relaxed through the Alps and arrive here without detours.

Vienna → Southern Carinthia: approx. 2 hours 40 minutes
Graz → Southern Carinthia: approx. 45 minutes
Salzburg / Linz / Munich / Frankfurt: good connections with direct services or quick transfers within a frequent timetable.
The journey is possible with the WESTbahn and ÖBB

Our nearest train station is Kühnsdorf–Klopeiner See, just about 8 km away. It is served by many long‑distance trains on the Koralmbahn — making it quick and direct to reach our region from all directions.

For the onward journey, use lines 763 and 764, which take you via St. Kanzian am Klopeiner See to Rückersdorf or Sittersdorf – and thus very close to your holiday apartment.

Fahrradmitnahme: Wenn ihr eure eigenen Räder mitbringen möchtet, ist die Fahrradmitnahme in den meisten Zügen problemlos möglich (bitte denkt an die rechtzeitige Reservierung).
Right to your doorstep: for the “last mile” from the station to our apartments, the best option is the Bahnhofshuttle Carinthia. The special part: you can book the shuttle easily and directly when purchasing your ÖBB train ticket from Kühnsdorf–Klopeiner See. Simply select the additional service and choose Kärnten Apartment Turnersee as your destination.
Bus connections for all long‑distance arrivals: lines 763 and 764 are directly coordinated with all long‑distance train arrivals at Kühnsdorf–Klopeiner See station.

Getting around locally — flexible and easy, even without your own car

Whether you arrive by train or prefer to leave the car parked: in Southern Carinthia you stay relaxed and mobile even without your own vehicle. Buses, shuttles and trains take you reliably through the region — and many of them are even free of charge.

E‑bike rental right at the house — our modern e‑bikes are easy to rent directly from us. They let you explore lakes, cycle paths and small villages independently and at your own pace.
Aktiv Card Southern Carinthia — as our guests, you can use all S‑Bahn lines throughout Carinthia free of charge with the Aktiv Card. Simply hop on, show your card and go. Bicycles can be taken on many connections, though they are charged separately.
Postbus shuttle – if the public bus doesn’t fit, the shuttle takes you flexibly from A to B throughout the region. It is also possible to take bicycles with you on the Postbus Shuttle.

Hiking buses in season – they take you comfortably to popular starting points and peaks, without having to look for a parking space.

Arrive comfortably — by car or electric car

Travelling by car or electric car is easy and uncomplicated, and you stay flexible throughout your stay. Everything you need for a smooth arrival is available right here at the house.

Short routes from the motorway — via the A2 you reach us quickly and directly. The exits Völkermarkt‑Ost or Griffen take you to your holiday apartment within just a few minutes.

Quiet yet central — you can reach lakes, attractions and shops within a short drive while still enjoying the calm setting away from main traffic routes.
E-charging station on the property – Ideal if you are travelling by electric car. You charge directly on site (billing is simply based on consumption) and start your excursions well prepared at any time.
Private parking – Each apartment has its own parking space directly at the house. No searching, no long distances, just plug in.
Safe space for (e-)bikes – you can park your bikes protected and comfortable with us.
