Dog rules
So that your dog feels comfortable with us and a cozy interaction is guaranteed, we put together some rules:
Leash walking all over the property and also on the beach so that none of our other four-legged or other person have to be scared.
With in our house your dog is not allowed to sleep in the bed! But instead next to it, in front of it and behind it.
Please leave your dog alone in the room only if he is used to it.
If your dog likes to shower after extensive playing and running around, you can use the hose in the garden.
Your dog is allowed to join you at the pool on a leash.
Please do not let your dog mark around the house and in our garden, but only in the free nature.
We provide doggy bags free of charge. We ask you to use them and to dispose them in the container behind the house. Please use the doggy bags also in the nature, because the feed of the animals of our farmers grows in the surrounding meadows. And even when walking, no one wants to run an obstacle course, or free their children’s shoes from it. 🙂
Hiking with a dog
Tips
On hot days and during long climbs, always allow your dog to take small breaks.
Make sure that the dog drinks enough fluids.
Keep your dog on a leash so that if you come in contact with other hikers, wildlife, or grazing livestock, you will have him close by.
Take care about your dog’s condition and adapt the hike to it.
Beachten Sie die Safety instructions for contact with grazing livestock.
Behavior with cows and grazing animals
Safe hiking
In principle, you should not get too close to animals in the pasture. Do not leave the marked trails and do not pet the animals in any case.
Keep the dog on a leash and be careful not to frighten the animals. Do not look the animals directly in the eyes.
If you are observed or fixed by animals already from a distance, you better make a detour, especially if there are cows with calves.
As the animals slowly start to come closer, stay calm and leave the pasture slowly. Do not turn your back to the animals.
However, if you are still attacked by an animal, keep calm and leash your dog. This is because he is much faster than you and your family and can avoid the cow – at the same time he can distract the cow and you can get out of danger.
